when I admire the wonders of the sky, my soul expands. clouds come floating into my life, no longer to just carry rain or bring storm, but to add color to my sunset sky. experiencing life on this planet is beautiful and I’m just happy to be chosen to be here.

I’ve been on the road with my sister for the past two weeks in search of beautiful places. We’ve gone all over Oregon and Northern California, seeing some of the most amazing lakes, mountains, rivers, beaches, and forests. The world is so full of beauty. Allow nature to fill you up when you feel loneliness or fear. We are all so lucky to live on such a beautiful planet.

Song on the Beach (+Rain) - Arcade Fire

All I want is to hold you as we sip earl grey and listen to this sweet song over and over again. All I want is to kiss every inch of your body as we revel in the lovely sounds of the rain. I have always been a man of simplicity. I only care for the serenity of stillness, for savoring even the tiniest moments. And when I’m with you; the madness of this world fades away, everything stops spinning, and I can finally breathe. So let’s listen to this song on the beach as our arms and legs intertwine and our heartbeats synchronize.

"Even if you come home late and I’m already asleep, just whisper in my ear one little thought you had today. Because I love the way you look at the world. And I’m so happy I get to be next to you and look at the world through your eyes."

“My favorite story out of this is Malia, when she was 4, she had a little dance thing. Well, Michelle was gone that weekend so I’m taking her to ballet. And I get her in her little leotard and her little stuff. I did her hair, put it in a little bun.
We get to the dance studio and one of the mothers there right away comes up to Malia – she thinks she’s out of earshot of me and she says, ‘Sweetie, do you want me to redo your hair?’ And Malia who’s 4 says, ‘Yes please, this is a disaster’. You know, she didn’t want to hurt daddy’s feelings.”

quiteverbose:

have you ever been in love?

just once.

what was it like?

like growing flowers in my chest and

forgetting to pull out the weeds. and i learned

that you cannot kiss laughter into someone the

same way you can talk stars into their eyes. and that

love will always start like a summer

breeze, and end up leaving you feeling like the dead

of winter.
